The biggest perceived benefit of the airport’s expansion plans is what they claim it will do for the local economy. However, airports in the UK take far more money out of the economy than they bring in due to the simple fact that more people from the UK go on holiday abroad than people from the rest of the world come to the UK for their holidays.
